Your spaceship crashed in to a giant asteroid that was crawling in swarms of spiderlike alien creatures. Now they're digging in to the side of the ship to get inside. Using your civilization's universal currency, rendered organic material known as biofuel, you intend to "turn up the heat" and fend off these creatures.

______________________________________________________________________
Biofuel can be burned in your weapon to produce flames, applied to the skin to heal wounds, or consumed to increase the abilities of both organic and inorganic material. It's a very versatile substance that has "multiple uses".

This game is pretty fun genuinely. Just found it searching for good GDevelop games (and this definitely is good).

I was a bit frustrated feeling so weak at the start until I realize I can upgrade the range and speed and all... it definitely is a good hook there. Just kinda wish the first wave was a bit shorter for that.

If you ever update the game, I hope the enemies catch on fire. Now that'd look cool as heck!

Man, these headcrabs are huge! Fun game Wes!

Hi Helper Wesley! I have been making Cookie Clicker 2: The Serving Snackquel (also known as Cookie Clicker 2). Because I got permission from Orteil, the original creator of Cookie Clicker. Wanna see it?

(NOTE: Still under development.)

Is it ok if i use your code to make enemies spawn natrually?

You mean from the conviction of gun dude? That's what it's for, anyone who wants to can copy/build upon the game to make their own. ๐Ÿ‘

Also check out the "small randomization" video on the GDevelop youtube channel, there are some examples of enemy and object spawning in there.

Ok thanks!

Can you please tell me how to make it so the character faces the mouse like that? (or make a tutorial)

The game example "the conviction of gun dude" in engine does this, you can open it up and have a look at how it all works. ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks for  being so helpful helper wesley lol. i found it but where is the code O_O

For turning around? It should be inside of the event group called "wesley", near the top inside the group. With the player movement controls, gun shooting, and so on. ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks again!

Edit: Welsey you should totally consider making a video showing your progession in gdev like all the games you've made, it would make a great series

Really nice game and well done keep up the hard work

I think that character has become the main character in HelperWesly Universe

Pretty much! ๐Ÿ˜…

Nice game! Especially considering you created it in a weekend. Feels good, not completely balanced perhaps, although I got through to 610+ kills. Begs for more variation and balanced scaling!

Thanks! It definitely need a little more balancing, some people were able to break out of the curve and get over 10 thousand kills. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

The game feel is very nice and the progression feels cool. Like it a lot. I'll be back to rate it once the Jam is over! Congrats!

Thanks! I lost the first week of the jam because of life stuff, so I ended up making the game over the weekend with barely any sleep. ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm just happy it's not a buggy mess, but if people enjoy it, that's a plus! ๐Ÿฅณ

Pretty cool and simple to understand, thank you :)
I have the feeling that the damage increase it not very efficient, so I go for range and shield. Is it just me ? If not, maybe you should rebalance the stats of your upgrades ;)

(+1)

That actually makes me really happy to hear. Playtesters were saying they only spent points on damage and range. So hearing you spent points on armor and range, says maybe it's less "obvious" of a choice than I thought it was.

Thanks for playing.๐Ÿ‘

Oh really ? Ok, so maybe it's alright. But be aware that I have only played few times.
And thank you for all the work you done for Gdevelop community too ;)

Fun and tense! Got the #1 spot B)

Glad you're enjoying it. ๐Ÿ‘

I wonder how high of a score people will get after the game has been out for a week or more. ๐Ÿ‘€
